In 1986, I graduated from Jay High Scool. Then I went to NEO and earned my associates degree. After NEO, I attended NSU where I received my bachlor's degree. In 1999, I graduated from JBU with my master's in counseling.
I started teaching at Jay Public Schools in 1990. I have been at the high school counselor since 2007.
I taught 2nd grade at Jay Elementary for 9 years. The next three years I spent working for the GEAR-UP grant at Jay MIddle School. Then for 3 years I worked with the entire district as the activities cordinator for the 21st Centry Community Learning Center. After that I spent one year at the high school as a GEAR-UP Counselor. For the past eight years I have spent at the high school as the 11th and 12th grade counselor.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Kent since 1994. We have one daughter, Katie, who is currently a student at JHS. We live on the family farm east of Grove.
When I am not at school or going to school activities, I enjoy decorating, scrapbooking, and dreaming up things for my husband to build.
